The Consolidated Scholarship form can only be filled out one time. For other scholarships, please print, fill out, scan and email to scholarships@district745.org no later than 12:00 PM on March 24, 2025. Late entries will NOT be accepted.

Local Scholarships
Albany Federation of Teachers Scholarships
The Albany Federation of Teachers offers two scholarships to graduating seniors who intend to major in education.
- Albany Federation of Teachers scholarship amount: $200
- AFT Memorial scholarship amount: $200.
Albany Elementary/ELC PTO Scholarship
The Albany Elementary & ELC PTO awards two $250 scholarships for students who attended Albany Elementary/ELC.Â
Albany Mutual Scholarships
The Albany Mutual Telephone Association is offering (4) $1,000.00 scholarships to members of the Albany Area High School graduating class. Albany Mutual Telephone encourages all who meet the requirements to apply.

Avon Area Lakes Association Scholarship
The Avon Area Lakes Association offers two $500 scholarships.
Avon Lions Scholarship
Avon Lions Scholarship Fund awards six scholarships of $500 annually. Applicants are eligible if they:
- Are a graduating high school senior, have an Avon address AND reside within the 745 School District, OR
- Have a parent that is a current member of the Avon Lions Club.
Avon Women of Today Scholarship
The Avon Women of Today Scholarship is available to senior students who are in the Albany School District or have an Avon, MN address. They offer two $500 scholarships to two female students. Selection is determined by a scholarship committee comprised of Women of Today members.Â
Belgrade Co-Op Scholarship
Requirements: High school senior enrolling in post-secondary education, who has demonstrated academic leadership and/or potential to contribute to their community, who is going into one of the following fields (including, but not limited to):
- agriculture
- business
- marketing
- accounting
- diesel mechanics
Albany Chrysler Center & TANI Division Scholarship
Albany Chrysler Center and TANI Division award five $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing a 2-year college program. Five hundred dollars will be rewarded after completion of each year.
City of Avon Scholarship
The mission of the City of Avon Scholarship is to offer a better chance for the academically talented students from the Avon area to advance their education.Â
Community Technology Group Senior Class Technology Grant
A grant for seniors who have applied/been accepted into a program of higher education to receive a technology device.Â
Edward & Veronica Vos Scholarship Endowment
Applicants must be graduating seniors attending Albany Area High School. Two (2) $3,000 awards shall be available per annum.Â
Freeport Lions Scholarship Fund
The Lions Club of Freeport will make available two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from local high schools. Recipients of this scholarship must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution. Submit application to the Counselor's Office.Â
Freeport State Bank Scholarship
Freeport State Bank will make available $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from Albany Area High School. Interested students are asked to submit a typed letter containing 500 words or less discussing the criteria that will be used to award the scholarships.Â

Leo Kohorst Memorial Scholarship
A $500 scholarship established in loving memory of Leo Kohorst by his family and friends. The scholarship will be awarded in the spring at the Senior Banquet.Â

McDowall Company Scholarship
For students pursuing post-secondary education in a building trade.Â
Pick Up the Mic Scholarship
The "Pick Up the Mic" scholarship was established in 2005 for any senior at Albany Area High School who is interested in entering the field of communication, such as radio, television or newspapers.
Fred Peltz Memorial Rotochopper Scholarship
Rotochopper, Inc. of St. Martin is proud to sponsor the $1,000 Fred Peltz Memorial Rotochopper Scholarship in honor of their founder, Fred Peltz, for a graduating senior from Albany Area High School. This scholarship will be awarded to one student who is enrolled in a welding, fluid power/hydraulics, mechatronics, or engineering program at an accredited college, university, or vocational institute.Â
Stearns Bank Scholarship
Stearns Bank’s mission is to inspire college students to reach educational aspirations and goals by providing financial support through merit and need based scholarships. Application Criteria include:
- Must be enrolled in a two or four-year post-secondary institution for 2025/2026 calendar year
- All majors will be considered for scholarship consideration.
- Complete application and return to counseling office, along with school photo (head shot preferred), by required deadline

Joel Alex Birr Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship established in memory of Joel Alex Birr in the amount of $5,000 for anyone who plans on attending college in the field of Water Environment Technologies and $1,000 to anyone attending college for Environmental Science.
Stearns Electric Association Operation Round Up Scholarship
Albany Area High School will be receiving a scholarship this spring on behalf of the members of Stearns Electric Association, awarded through the Operation Round Up® program.
Distribution amounts have historically been $1,000 for high school scholarships.Â
Scholarship Qualifications:
- Student recipient whose family receives electric service from Stearns Electric Association in their primary residence. If you are having trouble with this, or would like to confirm, please contact Katie Anderson, Operation Round Up Coordinator at (320) 433-4894.
- Scholarship recipient must be a current a high school senior.
- Scholarship recipient must plan on pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited institution.
- Recipient must complete one quarter/trimester/semester with passing grades before receiving the scholarship check. Once transcripts are available, it is expected that the recipient will send a copy back to the school counselor in order to receive their check (it will be mailed to the school at the end of March or early April 2025).
Asha Poepping Gregory Memorial Nursing Scholarship
The Asha Poepping Gregory Memorial Nursing Scholarship is a tribute to an inspiring school
nurse, who left a lasting impact on her students, colleagues, family & friends.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors who are pursuing a nursing career at an
accredited college.
To apply, write an essay about how you plan to use your nursing career to make a difference.
Albany Band Boosters Scholarship
The band boosters are offering two $750 scholarships for seniors graduating from the band program.Â
The requirements for this scholarship are:
- Participation in the band program all four years of high school.
- On track to graduate.Â
- No failed quarters of band.Â
- Attending a two or four year college next year.Â
Albany Youth Basketball Association Scholarship
This scholarship is for student athletes who are on the Albany High School (AHS) Varity Girls or Boys Basketball team , have participated in the Albany Youth Basketball Association (AYBA), Albany Girls Basketball Association (AGBA), or Albany Boys Basketball Association (ABBA) programs.Â
Four (4) $500 scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Honor Banquet in May.
Cliff Mitchell Memorial Agriculture Scholarship
This scholarship is to continue Cliff's Legacy in the field of agriculture.
Dolores Wellenstein Memorial Scholarship
The Dolores Wellenstein Scholarship is given in memory of Dolores Wellenstein who gave so much of her time to the improvement of the youth activities in the local area.Â
At this time one scholarship of up to $500 will be awarded to a graduating senior. Criteria for selection will be based on the level of academic achievement, community/school participation, and involvement in the high school golf program.Â

Holy Family School Scholarship
Holy Family School offers a Home & School Association Scholarship for High School Seniors.Â
James A. Stueve Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship has been established in loving memory of James A. Stueve in the amount of $500 for any Albany Area High School graduate that would like to move in the field of study for Law Enforcement Officer or Full-time Firefighter.Â
John & Sharon Rose Scholarship
A scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00.Â
Qualifications:
- Albany Mutual Telephone Subscriber
- Graduating Senior
- GPA C+ or Better
- Enrolled in Accredited Post Secondary Education
Joshua D Harrison Memorial Scholarship
The Joshua D Harrison Memorial Scholarship was established to assist with the post-high school educational expenses of students who have lost a loved one who played an important role in the student's life.
The Scholarship of $500 will apply toward college-related expenses and the deadline will be as designated by the Counseling Office.Â
Serenity Village of Avon
Requirements:
- The student must plan on a program lasting nine months or more.
- Must be planning in a nursing or healthcare related field.
- Payment of the $500 scholarship will be made upon submission of 1st semester passing transcript.Â
St. Benedict's Christian Mothers/Women Scholarship
Scholarship in the amount of $200.00 (2).
Criteria:
- Must be a member of St. Benedict's Church of Avon.

Victor and Inez Pogatchnik Scholarship
One (1) scholarship of $500 to be awarded at the annual Senior Awards Night in May for any student planning to attend a four (4) year public or private college or university pursuing a degree in Education.
Wege Family Scholarship
The Wege family is proud to present a scholarship to a graduating senior from Albany High School who is pursuing a two or four year college education in the amount of $1,500.
