The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students must pledge to uphold these four pillars during their years in NHS and volunteering for charitable causes and chapter projects is expected.Â
Membership in the Albany High School National Honor Society is gained through a selection process. There are informational meetings during the spring each year and any questions regarding membership should be directed to Mrs. Sonya Hoffarth. Community organizations wishing to enlist NHS members to help serve for their activity can also contact us.
